Greetings,

We are excited to share the good news with you - Downtown TAY is currently recruiting for the Culture Broker Academy! CBA is a six week, (12) class social change cohort that supports Black/African American residents age 16 - 24+ years old who live or go to school in Alameda County. Our workshops are taught by local, community stakeholders that have years of learned/lived experience on given topic (such as black excellence; socialization; the arts; self-sufficiency; and more.)

We have (8) open slots available in this program. Classes will run primarily in Oakland, California on Monday/Wednesday nights from 5:30pm - 8:00pm, October 2nd - November 15th. Program graduates will earn a $375 stipend; two months of bus pass support during the academy; and additional support if they continue working with our Downtown TAY program.

Below you will find a downloadable file (pdf) with the program flyer and prospective class schedule. CBA application can be completed in person at 1905 San Pablo Ave., Oakland, CA or online at: https://goo.gl/forms/ixtoWR12a7944Yz33
